Manchester United on Tuesday (August 31) confirmed the return of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus on a two-year deal with an option to extend for another year. Ronaldo, who left Manchester United for Real Madrid in 2009, will be returning to the club after 12 years.
One of the greatest footballers of all time, Ronaldo's arrival is all set to bolster United's quality attack which already consists of the likes of Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, and Mason Greenwood among others. Ronaldo had first joined United in 2003 as a prodigy and went on to become one of the best players in the world under the legendary - Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ronaldo had first joined United from Sporting Lisbon as an 18-year-old in 2003 and went on to establish his credentials as one of the best footballers in the world during his time in Manchester. From an inexperienced talented youngster, Ronaldo developed into a world-beater smashing records during his six-year stint with United.

1) Golden Boot 2007/08
Cristiano Ronaldo won his first Golden Boot in the Premier League in the 2007-08 season firing Manchester United to the title. Ronaldo was instrumental in the club's success, bagging a whopping 31 goals in the Premier League to take the Golden Boot. United also lifted the Champions League that season with Ronaldo firing all cylinders.
2) 2 Premier League Player of the Season awards
It didn't take Ronaldo too long to hit the ground running in the Premier League. However, his first Premier League Player of the Season award came at the end of the 2006-07 season. In 53 matches across competitions, Ronaldo scored 23 times and produced a stunning 22 assists to cap off a memorable season for the Red Devils and take the Premier League Player of the Season honour. He won the award once again for his exploits in the 2007-08 season.
3) First Champions League - 2008
Ronaldo has won five Champions League titles so far in what has been an incredible career. The first of his five Champions League titles came during his time at Manchester United. Ronaldo inspired United to their third European title in 2008. The Portuguese superstar scored a staggering 42 goals in just 48 appearances for the club in the 2007-08 season and was a force to reckon with for the Red Devils.

Ronaldo won the Premier League title thrice in his six years at Manchester United. His first Premier League title came in 2007 before the Red Devils won two straight titles in 2008 and 2009. Ronaldo was among the club's leading goal-scorers in all three seasons and went to Real Madrid on a high with three Premier League winners medals under his belt.
5) First Ballon d'Or - 2008
Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo on his first Ballon d'Or with Manchester United in 2008 after a stunning campaign for the Reds. Ronaldo won the European Golden Shoe and was also named the FIFA Player of the Year for the 2007-08 season. He finished the season with 42 goals and 8 assists for United in 2007-08 and was instrumental in their success.
