Largest display in UK of extremely exotic fighting fish to launch in ... - Runcorn and Widnes World

Siamese fighting fish, also known as 'betta splendens' will fill a whopping 300 tanks in the astonishing display at Premier Aquatics, based on Heath Business Park.

A representative at the store said: "The Siamese fighting fish are a colourful, interesting and flamboyant tropical fish from Thailand popular with fish tank owners the world over."

The branch is setting up more than 100 extra aquariums to home the fascinating breed, and the display will go live this Friday, April 28.

Commemorating the event, the shop will put on entertainment for locals who want to come and witness the fighting fish in action, with raffles, giveaways, and discounts on offer.

Owner of the store, Steven Chester, said: "We are the area's largest tropical fish specialist and even in times of crises we are growing and thriving.

"I started Premier Aquatics in 2020 to provide high quality tropical fish to hobbyists across the UK. We have quickly grown into the shop that you see today.

"Our staff are highly dedicated tropical fish experts, and we aim to assist, inspire and encourage you in the greatest hobby in the world."
