Retail wrap: Goldfish Swim School, Dutch Bros Coffee, Jersey Mike’s Subs expand in Houston - Houston Chronicle

Goldfish Swim School, a learn-to-swim franchise with more than 125 locations in North America, opened at 20251 Gulf Freeway in Webster. The school is operated by franchisees Kevin Coffman and Ryan Moon. Other area locations are in Katy, Sugar Land and West Houston. Featuring a tropical decor, the school provides water safety and swim lessons to children ages 4 months to 12 years.

An affiliate of Fifth Corner, a Houston real estate company founded by Tenel Tayar, Chad Braun and Kerr Taylor, acquired Ella Oaks Shopping Center, a 28,056-square-foot center at the southwest corner of Ella Boulevard and 34th Street in the Oak Forest area. The center, a redevelopment of Revive Development, is occupied by 15 tenants, including BB's Café, Aladdin, Specialized Bikes, Oak Pointe Pediatric Dentistry and Sunday Press.

The Houston Toy Museum leased a 4,932-square-foot space at 321 W. 19th St. in the Heights. The museum aims to create "a nostalgic experience where toys, pop culture and history collide." Nicky Gomez with Re/Max represented the tenant. Ryan Neyland of Davis Commercial represented the landlord, Retail on 19th Ltd.

Dutch Bros Coffee, a drive-thru coffee company based in Grants Pass, Ore., is planning a location in Rosenberg as part of its expansion throughout the Houston area. MMCG DBR Houston LLC acquired a 1-acre site in Brazos Town Center, at U.S. 59 and Reading Road in Rosenberg from NewQuest Properties. Bob Conwell and Austen Baldridge of NewQuest Properties represented the seller. Greg Slusky and Whitney Fisher of Sluco Realty represented the buyer. While the site is still in the planning stages, opening is targeted by the end of the year, according to Dutch Bros. The chain has four locations in Spring, one in Katy and more to come.

Jersey Mike's Subs leased 1,400 square feet in the new Riverstone Place, a development of Wulfe & Co. at 18802 University Blvd in Sugar Land. Lane Zieben with the Retail Connection represented the tenant. Kristen Barker of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.

Animal Emergency Hospital of Conroe will relocate to a 10,093-square-foot space in Towne Center East Shopping Center, at the southwest corner of Interstate 45 and Texas 105 in Conroe. Sharon Biles of Sabre Properties represented the landlord. Bunny McLeod and Katherine Wildman of Wulfe & Co. represented the tenant.

Mobily LLC, a retailer of AT&T products, signed a 3,200-square-foot lease at 448 W. Little York in the Yorktown Shopping Center. Abe Charski Interests represented the landlord, Reddy Partnership. Farid Chatur of Apex Realtors represented the tenant.

Brightway, The McCready Agency moved to the Sugar Creek Center at 54 Sugar Creek Center Blvd. in Sugar Land.

Sip and Sweets Daiquiri Bar leased 2,068 square feet at 9050 Highway 6 South in Missouri City. Gareth Kohlhausen of Latipac Commercial represented the landlord, High Revocable Trust. Melissa Gerber Brams of Gerber Realty represented the tenant.

Re/Max Allstars signed a long-term lease renewal for 2,912 square feet in Lakes of Riata Shopping Center on Barker Cypress Road. Jack Gaffney and Chase Tucker of Finial Group represented the landlord.
