FIVE ISLANDS LOBSTER CO. Five Islands Lobster Co. - Marcopolis

Unfortunately, like many other restaurants and small businesses, we are struggling to staff our restaurant this year.

Because of this, and in hopes of not burning out the staff we do have, we have decided to limit our hours as needed.

Monday: Fry shack/Love Nest open 11:30-3:00

Lobster building (the red building) open 11:30-8:00

From 3:00-8:00 we will be serving:

Lobster rolls

Steamed lobster

Steamed clams

Corn

Potatoes

Cole slaw

Haddock chowder

Tuesday: Lobster building 11:30-8:00

Fry shack closed

Wednesday: Closed

Thursday: Fully Open 11:30-8:00

Friday: Fully Open 11:30-8:00

Saturday: Fully Open 11:30-8:00

Sunday: Fully Open 11:30-8:00

Additionally, we will be unable to make and serve our homemade onion rings for the remainder of the season.

This decision was not made lightly and is not what we would choose but there is no other choice. Please be patient while we work through these issues.

Five Islands Lobster Co. is perched on an active fishing wharf, on the edge of Sheepscot Bay, surrounded by some of the coldest and deepest waters on the coast. Locals here know these waters produce the most delicious and sought-after lobsters to be found anywhere. Nestled in the fishing village islands of Georgetown, also known as "the prettiest harbor in Maine", Five Islands Lobster Co. stands out in a sea of dining options with the perfect combination of exceptional food and classic Maine atmosphere.

Our "Love Nest" grill serves casual fare including fried seafood baskets, grilled sandwiches and our renowned onion rings. The "Lobster" building offers live or cooked lobsters, steamers, and daily specials like mussels, along with corn on the cob and potatoes and coleslaw. And the "Ice Cream Building" proudly scoops up a wide variety of Annabelle's Ice Cream.

Our food could not be any fresher.

Lobsters are pulled straight from the surrounding waters and are never "tanked-stored". Our fried selections like haddock, shrimp, scallops and onion rings are hand-breaded, and Downeast Magazine says we have the "Best Fried Clams in Maine". Stock pots simmer house-made soups in the kitchen. Even our sauces are made here with our own recipes. Why would we top our dishes with anything else? Tartar Sauce with fresh dill and capers, Cilantro Mayo with a kick of jalapeno and lime, and Mustard Dill spread to name a few.

Not looking for seafood?

Of course we put just as much care in preparation and attention to ingredients into the rest of our menu, which includes burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, and what many customers say is "the best steak-and-cheese sandwich around"!

Dining at Five Islands Lobster Co. is easy and casual.

Bring a cooler (we don't serve alcohol), some friends and sit back and enjoy your meal with the low rumble of the lobster boats pulling away from the dock, buoys swaying on the open sea and the distant sound of seagulls in the air. This is dinner in Maine.
