RISLA's College Planning Center of Rhode Island (CPCRI) is once again hosting its annual College Fair after a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The College Fair will be held this year at Roger Williams Park Zoo on Wednesday, August 31 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Students will have the opportunity to speak with college representatives from several local and out-of-state colleges and universities to have their questions answered about college student life.

About Fair

All high school students - even students that aren't sure if college is right for them - are encouraged to attend. Admission to the college fair is free and plenty of free parking is available. The event will take place, rain or shine.

"Much is at stake for students as studies have shown college graduates earn higher salaries and experience lower unemployment rates than those without a college degree," said Stacy Crooks, Director of CPCRI. "Choosing a college wisely can mean the difference between graduating and dropping out, so students need to do their research before sending in applications."

"Students should be open-minded as they start their college search and learn as much as possible about colleges so they make informed decisions about where to apply," added Crooks.

Those who attend the College Fair will be eligible to participate in a drawing for one or more $1,000 scholarships.  While the registration qualifies as the entry, students must be in attendance to win.
