LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- Santa is taking his annual dive this year in the tank at the Shark Reef Aquariam. 

Santa can be seen making his list and checking it twice while underwater in the aquarium's shipwreck exhibit, filled with sharks, sea turtles and numerous species of exotic fish.

"Diving Santa" will appear at miscellaneous times from Dec. 21 to 24. Photos opportunities for guests will be available Dec. 19 to 24.

Families with children 12 and younger will receive a complimentary photo per admission purchased.

Maharashtra: Illegal fish breeding centres found in Palghar; 2 booked - Times of India

PALGHAR: Maharashtra fisheries department personnel raided illegal fish breeding centres in Palghar district and destroyed stocks of the exotic Thai Mangur fish, whose cultivation is banned, officials said on Friday.
The raids were conducted at illegal fish breeding centres in Shimpipada and Suksal areas of Vikramgad taluka on Wednesday, an official release said here.
Stocks of Thai Mangur fish were destroyed and offences were registered against two persons, Kuldeep Patil and Azim Khan Saeed Akhtar, who were operating these centres, under IPC sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), it said.
Anand Dattatraya Palav, assistant commissioner fisheries, Thane-Palghar, said the breeding of Thai Mangur has been banned and these centres were operating illegally.
In February this year, the Maharashtra government had launched a special drive to destroy cultivation centres of Thai Mangur fish, whose cultivation is considered bad for biodiversity.
The Thai Mangur is cultivated in highly unhygienic conditions, which may lead to people falling sick after consuming it, the government had said.
Its cultivation is considered harmful for local fish species and aquatic life since it is carnivorous.

Abstract The global marine aquarium trade has created new local markets across the planet, including in Indonesia, now the second-largest exporting country of marine aquarium fish in the world. Participating in the global aquarium trade has been touted as a potentially sustainable addition to fisher livelihoods, but scant data exist showing the numbers of fish coming off the reef and how those fish contribute to income. To determine how participants in the trade incorporate aquarium species in their livelihoods, we examine source-level aquarium fish collecting and trading data in the Banggai Archipelago, a region in Central Sulawesi that has become a significant source for popular aquarium, also known as ornamental, fish species.
