PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Students at the Rhode Island School of Design have been creating objects thoughtfully designed to improve the lives of animals at the Roger Williams Park Zoo.

According to RISD, students taking the course "Design for Animal Enrichment" have been creating objects to provide mental and physical stimulation to a variety of species including the bat-eared fox, girraffe, North American river otters, monkeys and a snow leopard.

The course's final critique will take place on December 11 at the zoo, where zookeepers will bring the installments to the animals to engage with.
