Finding Nemo Comes To Life This Weekend In Ocean City - Patch

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Take a break from the holiday madness and "just keep swimming" with the cast of Disney and Pixar's "Finding Nemo Jr." this weekend.

A cast of talented third through eighth graders will perform the show at Ocean City Music Pier Dec. 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 2 p.m., according to an Ocean City Theatre Company news release.

The direction of Hannah Catanoso, Brinley Edwards and James Craver brings this cinematic hit to life with their fully staged production featuring puppetry, colorful costumes, a stunning set, and spectacular lighting.

This new stage musical is a 60-minute adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie "Finding Nemo," with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Featuring memorable songs such as "Just Keep Swimming," "Fish Are Friends Not Food" and "Go With the Flow," "Finding Nemo Jr." brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship and adventure, Ocean City Theatre Company said.

Tickets can be purchased at oceancitytheatrecompany.com or in person via the OCTC Box Office at the Music Pier starting 45 minutes before each curtain. All tickets are $15.00.

Disney and Pixar's "Finding Nemo Jr." is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by Music Theatre International.
