Jim "The Fishman" Wilkinson Obituary - Tallahassee, FL - Dignity Memorial

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War Era. He was the owner of Fish Freaks Tropical Fish Store and Aquarium Services, where he built many custom aquariums and, with his creativity, designed beautiful aquatic landscapes. During his Fish Freaks years he enjoyed many trips to the Florida Keys to collect tropical fish. He also sponsored softball teams where they won many championships. He was also the owner of Dogs-A-Plenty hot dog cart, where he was a master of the chili dog and made many new friends. Jim lived his life to the fullest by always having a smile, telling a story and wearing his Hawaiian shirt. His passions in life were many fishing, snorkeling, cooking, dancing, playing golf on his birthday with Daryl and Kirkland, but most of all being with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, James (Stephanie) and David (Amy); grandchildren, Drew, Erika, Charlotte, Abigail and Benjamin. He leaves behind countless friends and clients to cherish his memory and will be sorely missed by Gabby.

A special thank you to Tony and Mindy for their love and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held November 18, 2023 at Dorothy B. Oven Park from 2pm-4pm. Speakers encouraged and Hawaiian attire appropriate.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Big Bend Hospice.
