Caribbean Cargo mooves 159 cows from Miami to Barbados - Air Cargo News

Caribbean Airlines Cargo has safely transported 159 dairy cows from Miami to Barbados.

The cows were carried in stalls on two charter flights utilising the airline's Boeing 767-300 freighter aircraft.

Caribbean Cargo worked closely with the vets involved in the transportation process, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure compliance and the safety of the animals.

Caribbean Cargo is a member of IPATA (The International Pet and Animal Association).

Over the past 13 years, Caribbean Cargo has shipped a range of live animals including horses, dogs, chicks and tropical fish.

The charter flights that transported the dairy cows operated a just a few weeks after Caribbean Cargo's historic first cargo-only charter flight, which utilised a Boeing 737 passenger aircraft, to transport humanitarian supplies from Guyana to Cuba earlier this month.

Caribbean Cargo said that in light of the coronavirus pandemic, Caribbean Airlines is offering cargo charter services to and from destinations including: Guyana, St. Lucia, Grenada, St. Vincent Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Suriname.

In addition, Caribbean Cargo highlighted that it is continuing to offer scheduled cargo services from Miami to the Caribbean, as well as and daily flights between Trinidad and Tobago.
