Bel Air's newest estate is so outrageous, it could drop jaws—as in shark Jaws, if the owner so chooses. A great white wouldn't be a wise choice, but this home's 800-gallon aquarium could tame Jaw's smaller cousins and other monster fish.

Ray Nosrati of Huntington Estate Properties continues his shock and awe property portfolio, this time with a 12,027-square-foot contemporary dream palace of soothing tranquility.

Nosrati is already gifting Bel Air with another California novelty—a speakeasy "marijuana mansion" that whipped celebrities, Fortune 500 CEOs and media into a curious frenzy.

Now he recaptures the imagination with clever use of water—perhaps California's most precious commodity. The Agency's David Parnes and James Harris have the listing for the house, which took two years to build.

Listed for $19.9 million, this six-bedroom, nine-bathroom residence literally overflows in luxury amenities—indoor and outdoor waterfall walls, the dual-sided fish aquarium, an infinity glass-bottom pools, and another olive tree water feature.

There's also a movie theater, a gym, wine cellar, rooftop bar and a three-floor elevator.

"Water elements add to the overall vibe," says Parnes. "They enhance decor and create a very calming effect. In some cultures water elements are used to attract good energy. They can be considered good luck."

Close to the Bel Air Hotel and Bel Air Country Club (and accessed) through the famous Bel Air West Gate, 1475 Bel Air Road offers sweeping city, canyon and ocean vistas through transparent floor-to-ceiling glass walls and decks.

Each level goes big design-wise, full of surprises—from the family room waterfall wall to the basement's glass-bottom pool skylight to the master bedroom's drop-down television.

The master suite has a large deck, fire pit, and direct access to a huge rooftop deck with a built-in BBQ and bar.

"There is an 800 gallon aquarium, a 30-foot custom chandelier, a custom indoor water feature plus every level has its own outdoor space," says Harris. "The master bedroom has approximately 2,700 square feet of outdoor space."

The chic, elevated residence is adorned with open layouts, warm finishes, Italian cabinets, custom floors, Corian bathroom walls, Eco Smart fireplaces, and motorized Fleetwood pocket doors that access outdoor entertaining spaces.

This includes the infinity pool which also cascades a waterfall to the lower deck.

The lower level entertaining space is designed to mesmerize—illuminated Onyx bar, movie theatre with fiber optic star ceiling, video wall, gym, wine cellar and eclectic art prints.

There's also a modern floating staircase, garden and four-car garage. Brand new, this sleek spec house is turnkey eye candy you can almost taste.

"We really feel that the buyer could be anyone – a single person, a family or a national or international buyer seeking a pied-a-terre," says Parnes. "It really is perfectly suited for anyone."
